1981 MCI MC9 Bus RV conversion 1981 MCI MC9 Bus RV conversion

We are selling our beloved 1981 MCI MC-9 Coach Bus. It is fully converted and registered (in Alaska) as an RV. As an RV, you don't need a CDL to drive this thing (although you should really know what you are doing). Although it is more of a tiny home set up than an RV set up (thus listing here). THE COACH Engine: 8V71 Detriot Diesel - These things run FOREVER! The odometer on this thing says that it has over 400,000 miles but the title says "unkown". It’s likely that in its commercial days the engine has been rebuilt or replaced so it's hard to say how many miles are on this one. We have never had an issue with it. Transmission: 4-speed manual - Make no mistake, this thing is tough to drive. It’s a double clutch with no clutch brake. If you are a pro you might not be bothered by this, but I am not a pro so we only drove it when we needed to move or just to keep everything working mechanically. It is a simple bullet-proof design though. Suspension: Air bags - comes with replacement bags Brakes: Air Undercarriage: One thing that sets this apart from school bus conversion is the undercarriage. This has two full compartments that go all the way through and are roughly 3 1/2 ft tall. THE CONVERSION Power: 50amp A/C power (most everything is A/C only so hookups are a must with current set up). Breaker box with dedicated circuits for running space heaters (currently the only way we can heat the bus) Holding Tanks: Separate Gray and Black water tanks with D/C macerator pump can pump out either tank or both at the same time up to 75ft. No fresh water tank - must be hooked up to garden hose connection. 7 Gallon hot water heater Propane: Three 20lb propane tanks. Two are hooked up at a time with one spare. Dedicated, ventilated propane enclosure. FULL SIZE KITCHEN, BEDROOM, BATH
